A Small Get Away
From what, I’m sure you’re wondering. Today (rather 3 hours from now …yeaah 4 am wake up and I’m still not asleep) I am heading off to Atlanta. My mom has work down their and I’m following her down there to visit a friend. I’m so excited to see him and also to to get away for a little bit. I have a couple of jobs lined up for the next couple of weeks though! I got a volunteer opportunity with the National Organization for Women, a non profit I greatly admire and hope to work at permanently when I’m a grown up. I’ll be on their PAC (political action committee) and I’ll be working on NOW endorsed candidates around the state for the remainder of the summer. I also acquired a job at this little lobster food place down near my grandparents summer cottage. Yeah, I’m going to be a vegan working at a lobster place. Believe me the irony is not lost. So the next couple weeks should be busy but awesome. I hope they go by fast because I am anxious to get to school!
